Dr. Abdullahi Khalid
MBBS, FWACS
Consultant Urological Surgeon
Abdullahi Khalid obtained his MBBS degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in the year 2004. Khalid is a Fellow of the West African College of Surgeons. Dr Khalid had attended several live and online training courses one of which is the acute trauma and operative management (ATOM) course at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra, Ghana. He is a member, Nigerian Association of Urological Surgeon and West African College of Surgeons as well as an Associate member of the American College of Surgeons.
He was born in October 1975 in Mokwa Local Government area of Niger State of Nigeria and attended the Kpege Primary School in Mokwa town between 1982 and 1987. He then proceeded to Kpege Junior Secondary between 1988 and 1990. His Secondary education was crown at Government Science College, Kutigi, in Lavun Local Government area of Niger State between 1991 and 1993 where he graduated with school leaving certificate that gained him entry into Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He currently has up to 23 peer reviewed scientific publications. His attraction is to Reconstructive Urology with bias toward prostatic diseases but open-minded towards other aspects of Urology.
Khalid was the Surgical Chief Resident of Department of Surgery, Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto in the year 2015. As a trainee resident, he served in various committees of UDUTH especially as the Secretary to the Scientific Subcommittee, when Sokoto hosted the 24th Annual general meeting and scientific conference of Nigerian Association of Urological Surgeons (NAUS) in 2018.
