Malam Nasiru Sahabi (Documentation Officer)
Malam Nasiru Sahabi currently a Principal Data analyst II in Registry Department, Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto, was born in 4th May 1969, He attended Ummaru Waziri Federal Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi where he obtained National Diploma Statistics and Federal Polytechnic Kaura Namoda he obtained Higher National Diploma Statistics. He also had Postgraduate Diploma Statistics from Abdu Gusau Polytechnic Talata Mafara in 2013.
Malam Nasiru, an indigene of Gusau Local Government Area in Zamfara state, he started his working career as deputy works supervisor with the Maru Local government Education Authority from 1996 - 2002, he later moved to Zamfara State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning as Higher Statistics Officer and ran through the ranks to Principal statistics Officer from 2002 – 2013. He was deployed to Nahuche Health and Demographic Surveillance System as Chief Supervisor to assist in establishing the Health research Centre that was nested in the Department of Community Health Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto.
He joined the service of UDUS as Data analyst and rose to Principal data Analyst II in 2016. He is also an Author of ‘Health and Demographic Surveillance System Profile’ International Journals of Epidemiology, 2014’. Attended training in verbal Autopsy in Kintampo Ghana, Participated in 2nd and 3rd International conference and Workshops of Curriculum development in Ghana and Gambia. He also acted as Centre Manager 2014 to September 2020.
